There is growing awareness on the issue of worker wellbeing and the economics related to this issue. Leading industry professionals believe the physical workplace can actually help. They see a paradigm shift on how to measure the effectiveness of space and how space protects an organization’s most valuable asset – their people. Wellbeing goes beyond accommodations of physical needs and comfort to enhance health. A holistic approach begins with the development of a leaders Emotional Intelligence. This competency is essential to inspire enthusiasm and motivation of their people to accomplish high performance results. Humans rely on connections with other people for emotional stability. The workplace environment can promote and sustain relationships and awareness to influence behaviors and attitudes that drive effectiveness, performance, and ultimately success in the workplace.
