When a legacy business like Penn Mutual Life has been operating since the mid-nineteenth century, the challenge is to keep evolving to stay relevant to an ever-changing consumer and business landscape.

Penn Mutual Life had big plans. Storytelling was at the heart the CMO’s vision for moving the insurance giant forward. The corporate office provided the perfect canvas for visual narrative, a way to tell the story of what was to come and how that fits into a rich and textured timeline.

Based on environmental brand imaging sessions and deep discovery, The Verve Partnership developed keywords, communications strategy, and a branded space game plan to capture 3rd dimension engagement with clients, families, partners, and staff.


Penn Mutual’s new space shines with warmth and understated strength. Central to the design is a long corridor splashed with waves of color and home to compelling quotes, engaging photography, and historical artifacts. Museum-quality murals move you through a visual continuum of brand values and historical context.
