The Verve Partnership created the strategy and prototype for Corporate Office Property Trust's (COPT) new work space concept-CIRQL; a flexible, contemporary office space designed for growing companies, where private suites encircle a vibrant hub of amenity space shared by tenants.
Workday hour trends have been all over the map in recent years-specifically during the pandemic. Some companies still utilize a traditional on-site workday/workplace with ancient policies that kill performance. Other companies, every employee works remotely. The reality for most professionals today is some combination of the two-a response to a "HYBRID POLICY" as now a defined and overused work propagated by COVID19. The real answer to the flexible work hours need is a workspace that facilitates seamless transitions between home and office, as well as adapts to the changing rhythm of the work week itself.
The CIRQL prototype was years ahead of its time, planned and designed in mind with the changing nature of work. With access to free wireless connections, hot desks, and shared meeting spaces CIRQL promotes work-life integration and encourages exactly this kind of flexibility. Tenant spaces are built around shared amenities such as huddle rooms, open kitchens, and quiet rooms that enable flexible work and the ability to come, go, and collaborate as needed.
The result-a new office environment that blends all elements of the work day for more engaged, healthier, and happier workforce.
