As leaders in the design of coworking, incubation and innovation centers, The Verve Partnership provided real estate analysis, visioning workshops, space studies and design concepts for Towson University.

Innovation centers focus on varying degrees of community, inquiry, and research. Typically providing space for coworking, incubation and makers these spaces foster partnerships with industry and provide students, professors, and administrations opportunities to fully leverage grants and funding, thereby spurring economic and business development.



Depending on the university, innovation centers are diverse in programs and therefore space types. Each with their one unique character, however, all have one fundamental criteria in common, which is community. It is critical for university leaders to understand how community plays a part in every move a center will take, it will influence culture, fuel cross sectional fields such as design and engineering, fine are and computer science and will provide the university the potential for access to new products, services and applications.

Towson University is providing their student population a place to start and launch companies to nurture entrepreneurial talent through programs, competitions and gatherings that cross pollinate and support innovative thinking across the campus, the Baltimore region and the state of Maryland.
