Changing an organizational culture is the one of the toughest tasks to take on. Culture is something that is built over years of interaction between the participants and because it grows over time, people become comfortable. It takes a significant event for culture to change, like leadership transition, message redevelopment, a major relocation — or even all three.
Harkins engaged The Verve Partnership to lead a strategic journey of cultural exploration, brand loyalty, and change leadership, we had to get aligned with a long view strategy to "change their culture." Thus began a two-year collaboration working together to inspire and transition. The result was a new headquarters, one that reflected the core values at Harkins.
